'The entrepreneur in me motivated the founding of BHARAT HANDCRAFTS.

But this was not an overnight idea. 2 years of thought and reflection went into it, maybe more. 
I come from a small business family. My grandfather, Late Shri F. T. Sope founded Bharat Market, a cloth departmental store in 1939. His teachings has largely shaped my life after my parents and elders. He once told me,
“If you ever think of doing any new venture, make sure that your business helps shape society and benefit the nation.” 
His words stayed with me, that’s how in 2017 BHARAT HANDCRAFTS was founded, an exclusive, dedicated store for all the traditional handicrafts of India. 
A place that showcase’s artisans creations from across the country under one roof, honouring the name BHARAT HANDCRAFTS. 

Bharat Handcrafts is not just a business for me but a responsibility and tribute to the legacy passed down through generations.'
